It's a beginning.....

I am a procrastinator at heart, so who knows how long this blog will last. But I'm looking for a way to keep up with friends far and near -- maybe this is the way to go.

Choosing a name for my blog took some thinking. My favorite things inlcude sewing and quilting but it's a challenge to find the time for these. So, I guess you might say that the majority of my life happens "between the stitches". For the same reason, I'm guessing my entries here will be sporatic.

Then there's the choice of layout for the page. We live about 90 minutes from the Oregon coast and it is one of my very favorite places to relax. I was thrilled to find a "background" with the coastal theme. In addition, lighthouses have a special place for me - Jesus tells us to let our light shine to the world.

OK....out of time for entry one. Gotta get to work!
